Alway's Keep Playing #LikeAGirl - A Thick Girl's Closet

Alway's Keep Playing #LikeAGirl

Hey Loves,

If there's one thing my parents always taught me (whether they meant to or not) is that I could play any sport I wanted. I was a swimmer, I played basketball, I played volleyball and in between all of that I was a dancer. Even when things got hard or when I was mad & wanted to quit, they wouldn't let me. They taught me the importance of seeing things through to the end. Realizing that everyday will not be easy and that I can't just quit when the bad days come. Now as an adult I have the confience to push through the hard times. This is something that in the future I hope to instill in my future daughter.
For the next couple of months I have the awesome chance to link up with Always to promote confidence in today's young women through their 'Keep Playing' #LikeAGirl campaign. The campaign is all about teaching young ladies & young girls to keep ++playing even when they are told they can't or shouldn't do a sport. When I heard about their 'Keep Playing' #LikeaGirl campaign, it made me think of all the young ladies & women who read my blog or any plus size blog for that matter. It made think about how we are all on this mission to love our plus size bodies & live the lives we want regardless of what society or fat shamers have to say.

To me, the Always 'Keep Playing; #LikeaGirl campaign is about teaching confidence in life, confidence in being a team player, confidence in being the best you that you can be. It's about the idea that have to keep pushing, try sports or try hobbies that we thought we couldn't do or shouldn't do.

Check out the Always #LikeAGirl Keep playing video and let me know what does keep playing means to you!

xoxo
Shay

Love this! It's such an important message. All women should love themselves and be 100% who they are.
