Vintage Skirt 2 for 1...cont'd

so if you saw the last post, this is the second outfit i thought about. yes i do have on a strapless bra as a top. that's cause I couldnt find my tube top. I probably would wear a tube top, or a very fitted t-shirt with the skirt. But i can't tell you how much fun i had taking these pictures. I felt sexy, i felt young...just all around sultry.

what I didnt mention in the last post is that the skirt is originally from the Avenue. I'm not a huge fan of the Avenue but every now and again they have some things that catch my eye. The sandals are from areosole. they were a gift given to me but a lady from my church. I havent worn them in so long, and I forgot how comfortable they are. and at the last minute i found this cute pin that says JAZZ i forgot where I found it, but i know my mom used to wear it!

Vintage Skirt 2 for 1

First Happy Monday to everyone. Today was a rather lazy laid back kind of day. I didnt do much. But throughout the day I kept thinking of new outfits that I want to wear. I'm working on getting more summer dresses. and after laying around and thinking and thinking I thought bout this skirt my mother gave me. I've only worn in a couple times because it is ENTIRELY to big for me. It's a size 26 and I wear 16/18 soooo yeah. even though its to big, too cute, it has an adorable but simple design at the bottom.

the skirt is suppose to stop mid-calf but the few times i've worn the skirt i it pull up far enough so that it stops at my knees. and it forces me to wear a bunch of safety pins in order to hold it up. But it is so worth it cause the skirt is to adorable. but on to the outfits!

In this post I made the skirt into a mini dress. It sits mid-thigh and is super flowy and fun. I debate as to whether or not to place the belt at my waste, or below the bra line. and after toiling with it in the mirror, as you can tell i choose to go with the bra line. usually the baby doll look doesnt work for me. But this time around, I'm kind of digging it.

Printed Crop tops & Combat boots

It's been a few days since my last post. and I hope you all got a chance to read my previous post about wanting to make my blog better. And one comment I got was to show more of the detail in my outfits. So I'm making an attempt to oblige. As you guys can tell i am in yet another crop top, I'm getting so use to it now. Yay me!

This outfit I wore out with the girls the other night. First we went to the NJ State Fair then hit the streets of NYC! I didnt want to be to over dress cause I mean who goes to a fair in club attire.(although i've seen females do that)  But I also wanted to still be sexy. So i threw on the leggings, the crop top and the combat boots. It was the perfect outfit cause I was still laid back, but boy was I feelin myself lol! and turned a few heads doing it!

Thick Girls can wear crop tops

So i did it today you guys. I was in public wearing a homemade crop top. I spent most of my time window shopping at the mall. I was SUPA scared and self conscience would be a total understandment. but I got through it and felt pretty good. I know for a fact people were staring at me, and thinking "what the hell is this girl wearing" and it did bother me to an extent, but I got over it. I kept my head held high and kept thinking to myself  I look good and I feel good... that is all that matters.

But I would be lying if I said i almost didn't go through with it. part of my, before I left the wanted to cover up my stomach. But i wouldn't have felt right if I punked out. I spend so much time on both my blogs telling my followers to love themselves and not care what the public has to say about what they have on, I would be a hypocrite if don't practice what I preach. at the end of the day I did it! and it was awesome.

The shirt I got from goodwill, which I basically tucked into my bra to make a crop top, my skirt is from Old Navy, sandals are from shoeland and my bag is from Nine West. I threw on some much need assessories, with my fun new sunglasses.

Thick girls with their stomachs out...UNITE!!!

Thigh High

My time as a blogger, both on here and tumblr I have come across many thick women who have so much confidence in themselves. Which allows me to help work on my confidence. So i entitled this post Thigh High for a reason. I am in love with my legs particularly my thighs. that is why in a lot of my post i'm wearing shorts, skirts or short dresses. It took some time to get to this point in my life, and I would be lying if I said that I don't have my days when I still get a little insecure, but I'm so in love with myself now.

I haven't always been like this. when i was in high school I swore up and down that I was going to get lipo suction on my thighs because they were too big. I was always told, (and even today my mom fusses about my legs) i cant wear certain things cause i have to much thigh. but now honey please i live in anything tight and short.

And I don't mean this in a cocky sort of way, but I just felt the need to open up about this. On my tumblr I get a lot of messages from other ladies saying how they love my confidence, or how they wish they could be as confidence as i am. and it really flatters me, but It's like when I get such positive love from you all, and I'm post my thighs all out like you, i just help but see my confidence skyrocket.

Roll up the sleeves and throw on a belt. This is the first of many outfits to come with this shirt. As you can see I have on my favorite skirt from forevr 21 ans my favorite pumps from shoeland. I dont know where I would actually wear this outfit but what does it matter, it's still awesomely cute.
